Since joining the company in 1998 as Shop Manager, he has consistently sought opportunities to expand, improve, and innovate. In 2003, was promoted to Vice President and became a partner and shareholder, alongside Chuck Schuster, marking a pivotal moment in Muza’s trajectory. By embracing calculated risks in acquiring new property, investing in cutting-edge machinery, and expanding facilities, Carven has propelled Muza Sheet Metal Co. toward increased production capacity, operational efficiency, and industry leadership.

This forward-thinking approach has solidified Muza’s reputation for quality and reliability. Under Carven’s guidance, the company has introduced state-of-the-art equipment and manufacturing processes, positioning Muza as a leader in the sheet metal industry. His strategic investments in specialized panel systems have set new industry standards, ensuring Muza remains competitive and capable of meeting the evolving demands of customers.

In 2011, when Chuck Schuster retired and sold his shares to Carven and his brother Sam Blanck, Muza entered a new era of expansion. Under their leadership, the company relocated to a 110,000 sq. ft. headquarters and established a second location in Windsor, reinforcing Muza’s position as an industry powerhouse. These strategic expansions have strengthened the company’s ability to meet growing market demands while maintaining the highest standards of craftsmanship and service.

Carven’s impact extends beyond Muza Sheet Metal Co., as evidenced by his numerous professional accomplishments and leadership roles. Under his guidance, Muza has received significant industry recognition, including winning the Wisconsin Manufacturer of the Year Grand Award—a testament to the company’s excellence in manufacturing and its contribution to the broader industry. Muza was also recognized as the Oshkosh Small Business of the Year in 2022 and the Mechanical, Sheet Metal, and Insulation Industries Contractor of the Year in 2016. These accolades further demonstrate the company’s industry leadership and ongoing commitment to excellence.

Additionally, Muza has achieved consistent year-over-year revenue growth, a reflection of Carven’s strategic vision and business acumen. His leadership has been instrumental in developing new product lines, streamlining production processes, and reinforcing Muza’s role as a full-service architectural sheet metal provider.

Carven’s dedication to workforce development and industry excellence is another hallmark of his career. He serves in leadership roles for the Fox Valley Sheet Metal Contractors Association, Fox Valley Sheet Metal Workers Health Fund, Fox Valley Sheet Metal Workers Training Fund and Apprenticeship Program, and is involved in the Madison Sheet Metal Contractors Association. Carven’s involvement in these roles further demonstrates his commitment to industry growth and leadership.

By championing apprenticeship programs and investing in training initiatives, he has played a vital role in nurturing the next generation of skilled tradespeople, ensuring the sustainability and longevity of Muza’s expertise.
